Bill recently travelled to India with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Here is his report:
It’s a long way from Brisbane International Airport to the Indian city of Shillong, high in the Meghalaya Mountains. It is common to see several trucks overturned on the sharp bends that wind up the narrow precipitous roads.
Once there however, the warm welcome from my dear friend Robert Cunville (Associate Evangelist at Billy Graham Evangelistic Association) and the local folks make the long journey worthwhile.
Shillong has been experiencing true revival since 2006, 100 years after the Welsh revival began there in 1906.
It is such a joy to experience the great faith of young and old, who truly know how to travail with God in prayer. As always, the uncomplicated Gospel message had a powerful life-changing effect on so many people, as they opened their hearts to the living God.
What a privilege to work arm in arm with Robert Cunville, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association team and the faithful local churches, to bring so many precious souls to the foot of the cross.
Please continue to uphold Bill Newman in prayer as he continues to preach the Gospel, both at home in Australia and overseas.
