“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion “Your God reigns!” (Isaiah 52:7).
The hill district of Hatton in Sri Lanka is so spectacular in beauty. Waterfalls gush from the mountains and flow to the valleys below. This is where the well-known Ceylon tea is grown. These tea plantations are visited by visitors from around the world.
The dear folk that work these plantations are so very poor. Yet it was these poor people that came to hear the Gospel in music and message. When the invitation was extended, they flooded forward to trust the Saviour. That night they received riches that this old world could never give. (2 Corinthians 8:9).
We witnessed the same thing in the bustling city of Kandy. This city is intensively religious. What a thrill to lift up Christ, the only One who can save from sin. Again, our Team was so blessed to see the immediate response to the invitation at each meeting.
