Bill Newman’s Gospel TV Show Returns for Lockdowns
For many decades Australian Evangelist Bill Newman has been a regular feature on Australian national television, radio and in news-print media. After a brief hiatus his well loved television programme POWER FOR LIVING is set to return to the airways.
Preceding the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Bill was set to conduct numerous region wide gospel campaigns in the nation of Fiji. As the pandemic spread and lockdowns followed plans had to be deferred for the open meetings. After prayer and consideration of what comes next the Bill Newman Ministries team was approached by Fiji One broadcasters for Dr Bill to produce a weekly TV show for nationwide broadcast.
As options were investigated about the viability of such an endeavor all of the production possibilities opened swiftly and plans came together quickly. Swiftly, the first of the episodes was airing as a proxy national Sunday morning church service while all the churches were in lockdown. As God would have it, the broadcast time followed a 30min praise and worship session filmed in Fiji.
And just like that Dr Bill Newman is now sharing the hope of gospel of Chrst to the nation of Fiji, under lockdown, every week.
Broadcast is set commence on May 17 and will continue at 8am every Sunday morning through the lockdowns and indefinitely into the future. Streams can be found live from the Fiji One website and delayed uploads of the episodes will be available through the Bill Newman Ministries Facebook page.
